Hello Folks,
John Maxwell had a conference where one of the individual lessons was titled, "It's the Grind that Gets Them".  I think that most of us understand that concept whether we be pastors, housewives, lawyers or bakers.  Most people have to do the same things over and over again in life.  For me it is the fact that Solomon was right when he said there is nothing new.  The problems that arise for a pastor are the same problems over and over even though they come from people with different names and faces.  It is also the fact that every week no matter how well you did this past Sunday you have another Sunday to preach 2 more sermons.  That happens week after week after week and the older I get the more difficult it is for me.  I am sure that none of you ever deal with that issue  but if you do the one redeeming factor lies in the good things that take place.  The people who come to Christ, the baptism's, the testimonies, the moving of the spirit of God in your worship as well as other more personal successes in your life.  All I know to say is that we must keep in mind that God is our God and what we do we should be doing for Him!  That helps me and I hope it helps you.

Have a great day,

HGRudd
