Hello Folks,
I have noticed that when things are going well there can be mulitple bad things take place at the same time. During the past 3 months our attendance has been better than last year yet there have been few people who have made commitments to Christ. While we have had marvelous worship and great times of fellowship there has also been individuals and families that have faced great difficulties. I have had two calls just this morning where great hurt exists and families face tremendous struggles. But is that not life? Life is not filled just with good but it has the hurtfull things in it that we all wish we would not have to face. In the midst of the good and the bad I am thankful that God is faithful and that we can depend upon Him to care for us!
Sunday South Greene High School used our sanctuary for a band concert and there must have been 350 people from the community here. I am very thankful that we can be of assistance to the community and allow our facilities to be used in a manner that hopefully will give us some contact with people who would never be here otherwise. It is my prayer that we can actually make a real difference in the lives of the people in our city and county.
We had our Christmas with the church dinner last Sunday p.m. and it went very well. The dinner was great, attendance was very good and numerous new families were with us. God has been good to us in this year. While there have been difficult moments He has been so wonderful to us that I cannot give enough praise to Him.
Have a great Christmas. I will not write another one of these until Jan. 3, 2012. May He bless you in this Christmas season.

Hello Folks,
For the past few years this congregation has invested heavily in the life of young people. One of the things we do is True Love Waits. For about 8 weeks during youth services on Wednesdays Anita Miller went through some intense training to help our young people to understand the concept and the need of purity where sexuality is concerned. This past Sunday night there were 19 young people who for the first time received their rings as a symbol of their commitment to a life of purity. After it was over we had a small reception and everyone was invited to come and participate. Many may not realize that we are attempting to give tools to our young people that will enable them to stand as children of God who walk in the truth of the gospel. I for one am thankful for them and for our Youth Pastor Anita Miller who gives so much of herself to help young people.
We are 19 days away from Christmas and I find it difficult to figure out what to get my wife. You fellows probably have no problem with this but I do. My daughter helps me all she can and most of time she comes through for me. I am thankful that God knows exactly what we need and He always come through for us. Praise be to Him for His wonderful grace.
